Tack Sale Results:
The tack sale was a huge success raising $3,800! There were 50 people lined up outside the doors starting at 7am, an hour before the doors even opened. Throughout the day a constant stream of shoppers me from far and wide to look through various bins filled with items that had been donated throughout the past 6 months including 20 wonderful blankets from Horse Duds & Suds Equine Laundry Service and a variety of NEW shirts, riding pants and jackets from Weatherbeeta. There were many happy shoppers that walked out with plastic tubs filled to the brim with all kinds of horse-related gear, clothes and books!
Preparations are already underway for our Fall Tack Sale on October 7th – we just went to Chris Kappler’s show stable in Pittstown, NJ to pick up a truckload of awesome items in pristine condition. Remember we take donations of ANYTHING horse related and we need you to help make the Fall Tack Sale a success. Mark your calendar and don’t miss it!
Lovely spring weather contributed to the success of our Open House in April, with 13 families stopping by to learn more about Mane Stream’s summer camp and adaptive riding programs. Everyone took registration forms home with them, and we’re looking forward to having some new campers and riders joining us this spring and summer. The six Mane Stream Horses who were in the barn spent the day getting tons of love & homemade treats from those who attended.
The barn looked beautiful thanks to our dedicated Mane Stream volunteers and Terri & David Andrechick that worked tirelessly the day before the Open House. AND thank you to everyone who shared our Facebook posts promoting the Open House – it helped get the word out!
