Duties include feeding horses, bringing in,
turning out horses, picking stalls and more.

Handyman/Maintenance (Part-Time)

Ensures the safety and longevity of Mane Stream’s programs and services through the proper care of the organization’s equipment, physical plant and grounds.

Candidates should be at least 18 years old and have experience overall maintenance of a related operation (equipment, construction, grounds). Specific tasks include maintenance of both riding areas, barn, office and fields/fencing as well as perform routine maintenance of equipment and vehicles. 

This is a part-time position requiring 10-15 hours per week.

Physical Therapist (Part-Time)

We have a part time, flexible opening for a PT seeking to work in an innovative and supportive environment. In addition to our onsite clinic with gross motor and sensory integration equipment and a fine motor/speech room, at Mane Stream you will incorporate horses, the farm and outdoor environments into your clients plan of care.

This position offers flexible afternoon or evening hours with a four month Saturday opportunity.  Training, mentoring and continuing education also provided. You will be working under the Director of Therapy Services who is certified in Sensory Integration, as well as a certified Hippotherapy Clinical Specialist and faculty member of the American Hippotherapy Association.

Part-Time Adaptive Riding Instructor

Mane Stream currently has openings for part-time hourly Adaptive Riding Instructors for weekday afternoons and Saturdays. Previous experience as a riding instructor required (Preferably PATH Certified). You must be comfortable developing teaching techniques that accommodate the special needs population while keeping safety at the forefront. 

Duties Include: Staying on time with the schedule, planning riders’ goals and objectives, creating lesson plans, writing progress notes, assigning volunteers to riders, communicating with parents, monitoring horse behavior, and tack and helmet fit.

Mane Stream Intern Program Goals
Mane Stream strives to provide an exceptional learning environment for interns from diverse educational backgrounds.  Internship opportunities are available for those looking for on-the-job training not necessarily associated with a degree program.  Mane Stream provides a supportive environment with a wide variety of experiences in nonprofit management, program development and medical service provision.  Mane Stream works closely with educational institutions to support students transitioning from academia to professional work careers.   

Who do we accept?
We accept high school, college, graduate school, career change and international interns. An internship at Mane Stream provides a chance for interns to personally develop and explore career possibilities.   

What's the typical time frame?
Mane Stream intern schedules typically lasts two-four months. Internships may be offered on a part‐time or full‐time basis.  Intern cycles are January to April, May to August, September to December with a special summer cycle in June to August.
