SESSION DATES (MONDAYS)
Fall: September 11—October 30
YOUR SCHEDULE FOR 8 WEEKS ON THE FARM
1000 hrs. — MORNING ACTIVITIES
Participate in activities such as herd observation, horse handling, grooming, longeing, or other ground based activities. These ground based exercises help establish a partnership connection with your horse, decrease stress and anxiety.
1200 hrs. — LUNCHTIME
Break for lunch! We believe this is one of the most important times of the day set aside for you to build friendships and share your thoughts on what you have learned or just hang out.
1300-1500 hrs. — RIDING LESSONS
After lunch all participants will learn how to groom and tack their horse. Then one of our PATH certified instructors will guide you through the basics of horseback riding. Each week you’ll see progress whether you are a first time rider or experienced equestrian.
Each lesson can be adapted for the participant’s
specific needs, abilities and skills, with the purpose of reducing stress and isolation through peer group interaction and establishing a partnership connection with the horse.
Schedule to bring 5-10 veterans for a 3 hour field trip. Experience a few ground based exercises, grooming, tacking and finish off with a short riding lesson. Contact Mane Stream today to set up your Field Trip.
