Database/Office Administrator
(Part-Time, Permanent)

The Administrator supports all of Mane Stream’s programs including but not limited to fundraising, communications, adaptive riding and therapy by managing all aspects of the donor database, assisting in the development and production of various outreach materials and maintaining relevant records and systems pertaining to our clients and riders.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in database management (fundraising database experience a plus) strong organizational skills, proficiency in MS Office applications and an ability to work in a team atmosphere. 

Required education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required experience: 2 years database management and/or at least 1 year working in an administrative capacity

Facilities Maintenance Manager                             (Part-Time, Permanent)

Ensures the safety and longevity of Mane Stream’s programs and services through the proper care of the organization’s equipment, physical plant and grounds.

Candidates should be at least 18 years old and have experience overall maintenance of a related operation (equipment, construction, grounds). Specific tasks include maintenance of both riding areas, barn, office and fields/fencing as well as perform routine maintenance of equipment and vehicles. 

This is a part-time, permanent position requiring 15-20 hours per week.

Occupational Therapist (Part-Time)

We have a part time, flexible opening for a OT seeking to work in an innovative and supportive environment. In addition to our onsite clinic with gross motor and sensory integration equipment and a fine motor/speech room, at Mane Stream you will incorporate horses, the farm and outdoor environments into your clients plan of care.

This position offers flexible afternoon or evening hours with a four month Saturday opportunity.  Training, mentoring and continuing education also provided. You will be working under the Director of Therapy Services who is certified in Sensory Integration, as well as a certified Hippotherapy Clinical Specialist and faculty member of the American Hippotherapy Association.

Part-Time Barn Staff

Mane Stream is currently in need of part-time barn help for either weekday afternoons, and Saturday & Sunday mornings and afternoons. Saturday shifts are the most needed throughout the year.

Duties include feeding, bringing in and turning out and picking stalls for 14 horses. 
Must be 18 years old.  Horse experience a must!

Part-Time Adaptive Riding Instructor

Mane Stream currently has openings for part-time hourly Adaptive Riding Instructors for weekday afternoons and Saturdays. Previous experience as a riding instructor required (Preferably PATH Certified). You must be comfortable developing teaching techniques that accommodate the special needs population while keeping safety at the forefront. 

Duties Include: Staying on time with the schedule, planning riders’ goals and objectives, creating lesson plans, writing progress notes, assigning volunteers to riders, communicating with parents, monitoring horse behavior, and tack and helmet fit.

Mane Stream loves to work with motivated and enthusiastic interns.  We require a person who is flexible, self-motivated and mature.  Interns must be prompt with good time management.  They should be able to work in an open office environment with supportive supervision.  They should be able to take direction and be able to work with that direction to project completion.  This is a professional work environment with a light hearted culture.  Those interns who are able to see a challenge or opportunity and jump in with a solution without being asked will be a huge asset to Mane Stream.  We pride ourselves on team work, adaptability and “making it work” with what we have available.

Mane Stream Intern Program Goals
Mane Stream strives to provide an exceptional learning environment for interns from diverse educational backgrounds.  Internship opportunities are available for those looking for on-the-job training not necessarily associated with a degree program.  Mane Stream provides a supportive environment with a wide variety of experiences in nonprofit management, program development and medical service provision.  Mane Stream works closely with educational institutions to support students transitioning from academia to professional work careers.   

Who do we accept?
We accept high school, college, graduate school, career change and international interns. An internship at Mane Stream provides a chance for interns to personally develop and explore career possibilities.   

What's the typical time frame?
Mane Stream intern schedules typically lasts two-four months. Internships may be offered on a part‐time or full‐time basis.  Intern cycles are January to April, May to August, September to December with a special summer cycle in June to August.
