Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) is an experiential modality and may include herd observation, horse handling, grooming, lunging, or other horsemanship activities. Participants learn about themselves and others by participating in activities with the horses and then processing feelings, thoughts, and behaviors. EFP can be useful in addressing issues including depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse, relationship problems,
communication needs, and boundary issues.
